April 8, 2024 Total Eclipse

It was very cloudy in Warren, PA as it was in Wellsboro and we didn’t think it was going to pan out. But during the time from 2 to 4, there were some holes in the clouds, and we did see the partial leadup to totality, and then the totality appeared just when I thought we weren’t going to be able to see it. It was wonderful. We observed the shadow bands on the pavement, everything went twilight dark, the temperature dropped, saw the diamond ring, Bailey’s beads and the corona. Then the clouds came over it as it ended. It was well worth the trip over and setting up just after the rain. I was able to take some photos (certainly not as many as planned).

​All the sales people from Shults’s Jeep dealership where we were set up came out to watch it, everyone had solar glasses so I guess the message got out to be safe. I was surprised that no one was out looking from the surrounding businesses. I'll put more images on the Gallery page.
