Keeping an eye on the sky...and the clouds

This has been a little better year for me getting out with the equipment, although still an overwhelming amount of cloudy nights. I'm still learning new things all the time, this can be a rewarding yet frustrating hobby. Have been upgrading a little with adding a guide scope and guiding to the Star Adventurer 2i, and getting an AsiAir Plus camera and scope controller. What a pleasure this has been! This little computer unit has lowered my stress and made it so much easier to set up and have much better results. 

The Black Forest Star Party this year was cold, wet, and windy. Only got one clear night out of the four that I was there. Still fun to meet up with like minded amateur astronomers and learning from them.
